EFD Group and its group of companies in the Financial sector is looking for a skilled professional with experience in the financial service sector. Senior Manager, Compliance, one of the core members of the executive team, is primarily responsible for overseeing compliance within an organization, and ensuring compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. As the compliance leader and subject matter expert, the Senior Manager, Compliance is responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the compliance programs throughout the organization are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Knowledge about government and financial regulations and laws in Myanmar
• Act as an integral part of the team regarding knowledge resources for all compliance-related matters
• Compile a list of all laws and regulations that need to be complied with and the frequency of reporting to regulators as required
• Monitor compliance programs that have been put in place to ensure adequacy
• Oversee the dissemination of compliance-related information to employees to ensure familiarity with compliance requirements and conduct training for greater awareness within the company
• Work with auditors and examiners during regulatory compliance examinations
• Participate in training relating to the job and any other training programs as required
• Ensure compliance by all employees of the company to the internal policies and procedures
• Ensure that all the company products and services (existing and new) are within the framework of protecting the company, its customers and public interest laws
• Report & escalate all areas of non-compliance to senior management

• Degree in Law (or) Degree in Business Law (or) Any Degree with relevant experience
• Professional certification as a compliance officer by a credible institute or organization will be an added advantage
• 8 to 10 years of working experience in the financial services industry
• Ability to read and understand technical and legal language
• Have an understanding of central bank rules and Myanmar Financial regulations
• Have some understanding of the compliance requirements of the YSX
• Ability to multi-tasks.
• Be good to team building, presentation skills, confidentiality and sound business judgment.
